Zenyatta John's Double Derby Dozen #4

OK,

It's round 4 of the DD Dozen. Today saw the comeback of Creative Cause in California. The clockers have been saying for weeks he was being pushed in his morning works for speed and hasn't looked smooth at all so I wasn't expecting him to win. He did close his last quarter in 23 and change and gallop out strongly so it was certainly an effort to build on. So here we go, list #4.

1. ALPHA - remains my top dog after workmanlike effort at Aqueduct, has shipped to Palm Meadows and will train up to the Wood Memorial.

2. UNION RAGS - on schedule for the Fountain of Youth next weekend without Javier.

3. OUT OF BOUNDS - explosive closer is training well.

4. SABERCAT - on schedule, has won 3 in a row around two turns.

5. CREATIVE CAUSE - solid effort 1st start of the year.

6. ALGORITHMS - Javier sticks with him, FOY next up.

7. HANSEN - runs in Gotham without a blue mane.

8. DISCREET DANCER - yet to be tested or extended.

9. EL PADRINO - son of Pulpit finding his groove.

10. TAKE CHARGE INDY - encouraged with his 1st effort.

11. ROUSING SERMON - has one start under his belt.

12. CASUAL TRICK - let down to not peak too early and is slowly cranking up for Zito.

13. BODEMEISTER - (New)- any colt that can gallop out 9 furlongs in 1:48 in February is a serious race horse. Needs stakes money and more experience.

14. SIR BOND -(New)- exploded at Fair Grounds, will only get better.

15. FED BIZ - another Baffert who only needs stakes money and experience.

16. EVER SO LUCKY - behind already and that's never good.

17. I'LL HAVE ANOTHER - jumped up and won prep around two turns.

18. PRINCESS ARABELLA -(New)- Baffert has a long striding filly here.

19. SOUPER SPEEDY - working well for return.

20. LONGVIEW DRIVE - runs Monday in The Southwest stakes.

21. GEMOLOGIST - coming along slowly for Pletcher.

22. PAYNTER -(New)- exploded on the scene Saturday, by Awesome Again out of a full sister to Tiznow.

23. MANAGED ACCOUNT - can go a distance, might be behind schedule.

24. LIAISON - dropped rider lone prep, has grinding style to get distance.
