All eyes on horse racing once again as its Oaks/Derby Weekend at Churchill Downs. For Friday I've completely handicapped all 13 races from CD with Pick5, Pick4 and Pick3 wagers suggested.

Churchill race 3 - #4 AUSTRALASIA - This Sky Kingdom filly sold for 65 times the stud fee and they were spot on in talent as she's impressed winning all four starts beating repeat winners drawing away each time. She turns back to an extended sprint today where she has already excelled and should improve once again with the fitness from that route. She holds her own in the morning impressively with Oaks bound Travel Column so I think she's sitting on a lifetime best effort. Down the road.

The day has arrived, Day 1 of the Breeders Cup and boy am I ready to go. There are a few races over the two days where the favorite is very logical. Most of  the races however are wide open, evenly matched affairs which should produce tremendous payouts. I enter this championship in a the groove, feeling great, and anticipate some fantastic winners. 

The entire card from Keeneland today is terrific as I've completely handicapped races 1-10 with Pick5, Pick4, Pick3 and even some Trifecta wagers today as the risk/reward is in out favor with the big pools and expert opinions. The turf races will provide big prices and I'm ready & looking to score.

The Breeders Cup Passport gets you all the action Friday & Saturday with Full Card Keeneland selections and suggested wagers including the three Two Day Double wagers. You'll also have access to Sunday's card from Aqueduct with purchase of the Passport.

Keeneland race 5 - #13 CUPID'S CLAWS - This Kitten's Joy gelding has kicked around the west coast, claimed a few times racing on turf and Poly. Two back he was claimed by Craig Dollace who must have seen something he liked as he took the blinkers off for the first time trying him on the dirt. That effort was a lifetime best race dispatching his dirt rivals drawing off by 7 lengths at that three turn 12 furlong test. He continued to blossom on dirt with fantastic works since that victory. He should be able to be forwardly placed until taking over on the turn and drawing out again for victory.

After a highly successful weekend last week when we cashed big tickets Saturday and Sunday, we get things started today with a rather uninspiring set of races at Gulfstream. A set of lower claimers awaits but they can produce the same rewarding payoffs if you find the right angle. There are some interesting plays as I'm hoping to have found the key to these races.

For Friday, I have completely handicapped Gulfstream races 5-10 + Santa Anita races 6 & 7 with Pick5, Pick4, Pick3 and Daily Double wagers suggested.

Gulfstream race 8 ~ #7 HOARDER - This Super Saver colt dropped in class last time for Brian Lynch while going 2nd off the layoff and turf to dirt. All those changes prompted him to run his best lifetime race drawing away from his competitors. He runs against limited winners today for the first time, but if he can produce the same strong late run, he should inhale them down the lane for victory.

So so afternoon Saturday as the races didn't unfold as I was anticipating. We did have two Top Pick Winners including my Best Bet - Sparkling Review at Churchill Downs so I was able to get it all back and more with a nice win wager.

Sunday looks a tad spotty, but I've found a few interesting Spot Plays to round out today's action. I have these races completely handicapped Aqueduct 3 & 6-9, DelMar race 8 (with Daily Doubles for races 7-8) and Gulfstream Park West 8-9.

For Sunday's Free Pick ~

Aqueduct race 3 ~ #4 VONA - this Circular Quay gelding is 8/1 on the morning line and has run three very game races since being claimed by Linda Rice. He won his last on dirt, but two previous efforts were game turf efforts at the tough 7F distance for speed horses and two turns at Saratoga losing to a repeat winner. He steps up in class, but should take them wire to wire, regardless of the surface.
