Finally upcoming this weekend we will get into some stake action for the three year olds. The Sham stakes is being run at Santa Anita and drew a nice field including Anthony's Cross, Tapizar and Uncle Sam. I expect some movement in next weeks DDD #6 already.
I had some movement this week as well with Little Al taking JB's Thunder 'off the trail' after an unimpressive dirt workout. His future will be on Polytracks or grass. Taking his spot on the list making his debut at #24 is Comma to the Top - the 'leader' of the West coast contenders. I did have three other colts move up on list and one drop towards the bottom. So here we go -
ZJ's Double Derby Dozen - #5 ~
1. TO HONOR AND SERVE - training very well in Florida for return.
2. ROGUE ROMANCE - son of Smarty Jones can run all day.
3. UNCLE MO - let's hope he runs better than Life at Ten.
4. DANCINGINHERDREAMS - close to a race for John Ward.
5. BREAK UP THE GAME - Shug's best chance at Derby since Easy Goer.
6. MUCHO MACHO MAN - proven router might be a monster, training well.
7. DIALED IN - maiden win was spectacular.
8. UNCLE SAM - returns Saturday in The Sham.
9. TURBULENT DECENT - unbeaten and untested filly, 2nd filly in Top 9!
10. LEAVE OF ABSENCE - nice effort in return, looked like he wanted more ground.
11. SHADOW WARRIOR - got his return under his belt , should move forward.
12. TAPIZAR - returns Saturday in the Sham Stakes.
13. THE FACTOR - fast but might need a cab to get 10 furlongs.
14. ECONOMIC SUMMIT - working in Florida for return.
15. COOL BLUE RED HOT - working well for Mr Penna.
16. BANDBOX - mid-Atlantic horse is long winded.
17. READ THE CONTRACT - returns soon in Florida for Mr Violette.
18. BRETHREN - the Toddster's number two.
19. SOVEREIGN DEFAULT - in Florida with Mr Violette.
20. RUNFLATOUT - working in California.
21. WINE POLICE - working at the Fair Grounds for return.
22. MONZON - very easy but slow winner of last, will run all day.
23. TWINSPIRED - will rebound from Jackpot loss.
24. COMMA TO THE TOP - (new) So Cal flash has won 5 straight.
That's it - the DDD #5 . Looking forward to this weekends races and watching some of my horses run.

What about Stay Thirsty? I love those Bernardini horses.
Yes - I love the the Bernardini's too. Stay Thirsty didn't strike me as special when he ran. He might grow up into a very nice colt.
My big Bernardini colt - Break Up The Game runs Saturday at Gulfstream. Look out!
