Elloluv -
Big shake up this week in the Derby Dozen. The preps helped and there are two more this weekend- The Bluegrass Stakes and The Arkansas Derby.
I will have a very good idea after those preps are run. I have clear vision this year and its time to make a score. I gave the exacta out cold last year with two short priced horses - $53. I don't think the fav's will run 1-2 this year. Anyway - the list ...
1. I Want Revenge - athletic, strong, fleet footed- reminds me of Afleet Alex..
2. Friesen Fire - I don't mind the 7 weeks, will he ?
3. Chocolate Candy - might shock them all, will run all day and then some !!
4. Pioneer ofthe Nile - if he could 'dirt', Mr Mott would have run him on it...
5. Old Fashioned - hope he wins by 10 lengths Saturday...
6. Quality Road - might win the Preakness & Travers, not the Derby ...
7. Win Willy - 3/4 lifetime, closed at short odds in Pool 3, another Grindstone ?
8. Dunkirk - probably won't start, didn't like him anyway...
9. Desert Party - I'm out of horses honestly from here down ...
10. Papa Clem - loved 58 & change work over the weekend but ....
11. Mr Hot Stuff - long winded colt still learning the game ...
12. General Quarters - also worked 58 & change but over the Churchill strip ...
I ran out of horses I think have a chance after Win Willy. I don't think ANY horse rated below Win Willy has a chance to win the Derby. After this weekend , I may have it down to the four I will use to make the score of a lifetime !! I am going to make triples and hope to cash out ...
Stay tuned ... Also let me know how you like the 'new look' on the blog. I think its easier to read..
Ciao
