One of the deepest and most playable cards I've ever seen today at Kentucky Downs where the enormous purses have drawn everyone to the European Style turf course for a fabulous weekend of racing.
For Saturday I've completely handicapped all 11 races from KY Downs with PK5, PK4 and PK3 wagers suggested. This track needs to be played like Royal Ascot, smaller wagers go a long way here. I play Win bets, small exactas, and small running tickets. You could cash a win bet & exacta and be in the black for the rest of the day.
I clearly like a few horses today, all listed as *Best Bets* from a 1 Star all the way to a 3 Star but I will be focusing in on these with more serious wagers. First one comes up quick in the 2nd then I have three in a row from the 8th - 10th and that is where we can step on the gas. Bet using two of them as singles in PK3's and punching the ticket a few extra times. Lots of ways to approach it, just remember, no need to bet every gimmick, every race - make some action bets along the way and step in when needed.

KY Downs race 5 - #12 DETERMINED HOPE - This daughter of Medaglia d'Oro hails from the excellent Mid-Atlantic barn of Phil Schoenthal got a nice schooling in her debut running on into 2nd as the winner drew off. She's clearly been pointed here, gets blinkers on a strong 40% stat with barn winning with 4 of last 10 adding the hood. The strongest angle here is the barn wins at an incredible 35% with maidens making there 2nd starts so they clearly use the debut as a prep - firing the best shots 2nd out. The 2nd dam won 8 turf races so the breeding says she can, now lets cash out when she wins.
