Not the biggest priced winners I've ever selected, but there was money to be made and tickets cashed. It looks like we are heading into a great weekend as today's races look inviting and Saturday's Gulfstream races is the best card I've seen since last season. It a great weekend to grab that Weekend Pass as we're gonna settle into stride cashing more tickets.

Today's Best Bet is in a turf sprint plus I have some other good selections both on dirt and the weeds, looking forward to wagering all weekend. I'm taking a swing down the hill at Santa Anita today too as I've identified a well bred horse who should excel on turf in an average field of runners.

Gulfstream race 6 - #6 ALCAZAR DE MARAM - This Bill Mott trained son of Giant's Causeway out of G3 turf winning Maram makes his second start off the layoff which is a strong move for Mott winning at a 24% clip. He also comes back on relatively short rest for the barn (13 days) which to me says he's tearing down the barn and got a lot of fitness from his last start. He showed some speed two races back, so I'm hoping Rosario will use that speed from the gate, establishing a forwardly placed position beating the rest home for victory.
