OK,
I finished the day with 2 Top Pick Winners from 11 races plus 4 Listed Winners and quite a few exotics, now 12/40 with Top Picks over last four days, but we had two 2nd's that really hurt.
In Saratoga race 4th, I had #9 Swaggy who looked home free at 8/1 only to be run down by ultra-hot barn but we cashed the $72 exacta a few times. The Pick3 would have been very generous with Swaggy.
In the Saratoga 5th, I had #3 Tashreeh who was in behind traffic the whole way and by the time he extricated himself the winner was gone. But since I usually box my Top Pick when over 6/1 with other three selections we cashed the $202 exacta as my 4th pick Notorious got up at $31.20.
We did cash a Co-Best Bet in Saratoga race 6 as #9 Isotherm showed tremendous gameness beating the big favorite and giving us an ice cold exacta.
#9 ISOTHERM - $10.00 $4.00 & $3.70 w/ the $23 exacta
Saratoga race 7 - #2 SHORE RUNNER $4.80 $3.00 & $2.30 w/ the ice cold $23 double, ice cold $27.60 exacta & ice cold $108.50 trifecta - not bad for a very short field and the favorite winning.
In Saratoga race 8, I went four deep in the Pick3's and cashed as 4th choice #10 Shiekh of Shiekhs cruised paying $15.20 helping us with the $172 Pick3.
So we had our chances, just didn't land that knockout punch.
For Sunday I have completely handicapped Saratoga race 1-11 w/ Pick5, Pick4 and Pick3 wagers suggested. Very interesting races today even though NYRA robbed us of our Sunday G1's that had been tradition for many years. I have two Co-Best Bets - both of them in the Pick5, so I'm looking to cash out early and press it back later as the Late Pick4 might pay pretty well too.
Looks like a great day to gamble, visit Pick4win.com to purchase today's selections.
For Sunday's Free Pick ~
Saratoga race 9 - #4 CUPPA JOE - this Medaglia d'Oro gelding came back fresh for new barn in the opening weekend and cruised to an easy victory for small but very crafty barn. It was only the 2nd start with the Nick Esler and it seems he has found this guys 'hole card'. I fully expect him to be even better today, sits a perfect trip and powers home a repeat winner at the meet.
The very best of luck.
