It's Opening Day at Santa Anita after receiving more than a foot of RAIN in the last 7 days!

I imagine the stake race will be left 'on the turf' which will have to be soft to yielding after all that rain.

Tampa Bay rc9 - #9 Affluence - is 2/2 on dirt and is bred speed on speed. Rosy grabs the reins today, has two bullets in tow, should stalk and pounce down the lane.

Santa Anita rc6 - #7 Malibu Pier - filly has showed tremendous talent since her debut where she was shut off twice and still swung out in the last furlong and won going away. She will get a fierce pace to run into today with at least three that will push a very strong half mile. It's coming out day for this future star.
