Here's the lastest posted to Steve Crist's DRF blog regarding Horse of The Year -

If Zenyatta had run in the 2008 Classic - I thought she would have won that race as well. This years edition has a tougher field.

I saw Rachel win the Woodward in Saratoga and watched her win the Haskell and the Preakness on TV.

I think Zenyatta should win HOTY , but I don't think she has the votes. I would settle for the split vote at this point.

Time to change the system - everything runs its course eventually.
