Last week of Saratoga 2009

Its almost over -

Saratoga is down to its last week. Thanks goodness , life gets back to its quiet relaxed pace like the rest of the 10 months a year. The tourists and vacationers will be gone for another year.

I did have a few good winners last week and a bunch more bad beat seconds. I gave a free pick winners at Del Mar on Saturday - 2 yr old firster Dave in Dixie $17.60 $8.80 & $5.00 who was said to be the most visually exciting maiden performance of the meet so far. He is on his way to the Norfolk stakes ...

This last week will be the test to find that 'ship money', where the barn has a live runner waiting to light up the toteboard and pay to move the stable back down state -or the troubled trip horse who gets to run back on the turf. We should be clear of rain and the week should be outstanding.
