Traver's Week - Day 25 of 36

How time flies -

Its the start of Travers week. After seeing how the races are setting up for Saturday, great racing is expected. The four Grade 1's will be outstanding contests. A friend of mine in for the week told me his friend has a horse in Saturday - turns out to be Not for Silver who is burning up the Oklahoma track theses days , but he's in against Big Drama , Munnings, & Capt Candy Man just to name a few stone cold runners... Its an All Grade 1 $1,000,000 pick4 ...

The weather is awesome here in Saratoga Springs to start week five. It fast and firm for the first time in many racing days. We will see some more rain prior to Saturday. Just heard Mine that Bird is OUT of the Travers Stakes. That makes for a shorter list for me since I don't think Todd Pletcher can win a 1 1/4 mile race on dirt, even with that freak Quality Road . I mean the filly was juiced out of her mind when she won the Belmont so that really shouldn't count. Can you name one horse that he trained to win a 1 1/4 mile race on dirt ?? I don't think he has ever done it. Its gonna be interesting ..
