T-Minus 24 Hours for Horse Racing in Saratoga

We are 24 hours away from Christmas in Saratoga. Most of us locals would rather cash a good ticket Opening Day, than open any present on December 25th, Christmas for the rest of the world.

Everyone is ready to go: horses, jockeys, and race fans. The heat will be stifling Friday, 95 degrees, so be prepared.  I will be perched at my 'normal' table, the same one that I have shared with friends for 15 years now. This year will be a little different as I have pledged to meet some new friends and fans that Twitter has brought together. I've also been invited to a VIP Only event sponsored by America's Best Racing as I was recognized as a racing Social Media 'mover and shaker'.  It's gonna be fun so get tied on but don't blink, for it will be over fast.

Wagering and winning at Saratoga is one of the hardest challenges you will face as a gambler. It is the best racing in the country for a reason as the big fields pose problems when handicapping. Trainers, owners, and jockeys ship from everywhere this side of the Mississippi River and beyond with one goal - to get their picture taken in the Winner's Circle at the Spa. New outfits come every year, some succeed, some get 'the duck' (the term coined for having no winners at the meet). Rest assured, every barn that comes to Saratoga to stable has 'one bullet' - that one horse they know is special and training like a wild horse which gives them confidence and the opportunity to cash a big ticket. That's where I come in.
