Free Aqueduct and Hollywood Horse Picks

Wow -

Is today Saturday? If I could explain the wonderful whirlwind of the last week, holy shit , you wouldn't believe me. My brain was soooooooooo pleasantly distracted, I forgot to put picks up for Friday. Ooopps. I was consumed with Crystal's special delivery surprise and it slipped my mind. For a guy who has lived and breathed horses for 25 plus years - Crystal must be extremely special for horses to slip my mind. Many apologies.

Not a bad day of racing today - but next weekend is gonna be awesome with the Hollywood Turf Cup. I will be making another first today with selections from Delta Downs! It is really stupid that this race guarantees a spot in the 2011 Derby field because of the $1,000,000 purse of the Jackpot. It's a freakin bullring for God's sake. Vernon Downs harness track is a larger oval than this dumb Delta Downs. They go TWICE AROUND for 8 1/2 furlongs. But what the f*ck, I have a pick so I posted it. Why wouldn't the NYRA increase the purse of the 9 furlong Remsen Stakes being run next week to make it more important than this dumb Jackpot. The Remsen is a much more prestigious race and might steal horses from the BC Juvenile.

I have 8 selections total today available on www.pick4win.com  including 5 @ Aqueduct, 2 @ Delta Downs, and one from Hollywood Park. Feel free to email me as well at jackstraw@pick4win.com for help purchasing today's picks.

As for today's Free Picks -

Aqueduct rc6 - #2 Pretty Boy Freud - returns to the turf after unsuccessful dirt race, but turf races have been by far his best. He retains son in law JV as jock and should have some give in the ground and speed to close into. There is a possibility of 'a freak' in this race - but he will be included in my exactas.

Hollywood Park rc8 - #2 Industrial Leader - was rumored all summer to be a runner and run he did breaking his maiden from off the pace over this track. Slight stretch out will only benefit his late speed. Feel he's just gonna run away and hide from these.

The very best of luck!  Stay tuned , next weeks reports and selections might be coming directly from Lexington, KY!

P.S.  Where the hell is Johnny Bagel?  LOL

Interesting notes:
Race 1 AQU. 5/2 Ea, was entered and scratched from the currently Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Where Tuesdays session offered many currently racing horses from such stables as Winstar and Darley. This horses was entered (but scratched)from the Bluewater Sales (agent for Darley) consignment.

To be completely honest - Crystal tried to get me to bet on Spa City Fever today who WON paying $16.40 $8.10 & $4.70.

Now you see why I would want her input here on Hoof Prints & Horse Play? She knows her stuff! I have to get her a admin password!
