rc6 - #9 Irrefutable - $4.60 $3.20 & $2.80 - was the talk of the mornings for a long time but held on gamely for a debut win....

rc8 - #4 Ventura - $8.60 $3.40 & $2.80 with the $21.60 exacta ...

There is nobody hotter in the world than Bob Baffert. He has had at least 10 winners the last two weekends at Santa Anita and i've made money with 6 of them...

Here is a head scratcher for you - Todd Pletcher has also regained his 30% winning ways the last three months but nobody has noticed. Whatever made 'the barn go' for years stopped instantly after Rags to Riches won the Belmont. Go look up his win percentage . The guy won at 25-30 % for years and all of a sudden for two years was a 12-15% guy - which is close to the 'everyday' trainers percentage. Now he's back to 30% winners. I guess he just forgot how to train for two years. Very fishy.

So look out race land - something new is afoot on the backstretches again.

Also - I have made a new 'friend' who watches workouts at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans. My circle of info gets larger. I speak with my 'workout watchers' regularly which helps me hone my selections to a razor sharp edge. It pays to have almost 30 years 'on the grounds' - networking with owners, trainers , exercise riders , jock agents , professional handicappers and professional gamblers. Stay tuned ...
