Please -
Its time for a change - a long overdue change. Thoroughbred racing needs a commissioner to oversee races in every state. We need new rules with one person to rule over the entire USA.
The drug rules is the first place to start. For repeated violations - owners and trainers should be suspended. If the owner felt the pinch of feed, medical, and training but can't earn any money back- some funny business will stop. Mr Dutrow is currently 'on holiday' for another drug/medical suspension. This f*cking guy actually had the balls to say he was going to the beach with one of his owners to relax - because he was suspended !!
Now the opposite end of the drug suspensions - Keiren McGaughlin was suspended for 3 overages in Kentucky. The drug was administered by his vet for hay allergies. It has been used according to instructions and stopped 48 hours prior to raceday. Well Kentucky has a ZERO tolerance policy. Here is why change is needed. All 3 positives were - 'sub-nanogram' - or less than a nanogram of the drug was found. A nanogram is 1/100 of a PINPRICK !! Think about that - 1/100 of a pinprick !! If we humans had a zero tolerance drug policy - we all would be arrested because all our paper money has cocaine traces that could be measured in nanograms.
So imagine a 1000 pound animal testing positive for .16 nanograms of allergy medicine !! That's 1/1000 of a pinprick !! Zero tolerance is a ridiculous policy. Free Keiren today !!
