Derby Dozen # 9 - April 15th

Well-

This is quite likely my last Derby List. As always, someone might get upgraded or downgraded as they work over Churchill Downs. Case in point is I Want Revenge- he did not finish strongly at all and was slowing considerably the last two eighths and shut it down to a walk galloping out in over 14 seconds. Not good at all.

Here is the list -

1. Friesen Fire - will surprise a lot of folks Derby day ...
2. Chocolate Candy - Mr Hollendorffer has him fine tuned for explosive Derby effort...
3. I Want Revenge - bad work and kid Jock was in awe of Churchill - passing on win...
4. Pioneer ofthe Nile - if he could dirt - Mr Mott would have run him on dirt ..
5. Mr Hot Stuff - will be closing strongly last 1/4 mile ...
6. Dunkirk - won't win but may finish in the money ...
7. Quality Road - quarter crack said bye-bye to his winning chances ...
8. Flying Pegasus - Mr Lucas is back with a long winded runner ...
9. General Quarters - Coa got off for wrong reasons, this colt is a runner & gets Leparoux ...
10. Papa Clem - slow last quarter mile even with solid pace ...
11. Desert Party - running out of runners ...
12. Win Willy - win run better than last ...
