A parade of favorites made for an unexciting afternoon, for me anyway, at Gulfstream as we did have 5 Top Pick Winners from 13 races. I didn't bet against two short priced horses who were 'free squares' as Cathyrn Sophia and XY Jet ran away from their competition.

We did also have Capital City, Converge and Cite as Top Pick Winners. Our day was blown when Graham Motion scored with his $27 winner Faufiler who in reality should have paid $50+ in that deep race, and blew my tickets out of the water.

We did get to see some great races as the horses did put on a show.

For Sunday I've completely handicapped Gulfstream races 2-12 with Pick5, Pick4 and Pick3 wagers suggested. As usual, I've tried to identify some turf runners with good chances to upset the apple cart.

Gulfstream race 9 - #11 CONQUEST CITY GIRL - This daughter of City Zip out of a Langfuhr mare makes her 2nd start of the season and should be dead fit for this effort. She was allowed to lag 15 lengths behind a pedestrian pace last time and had no chance of winning but did make a big run to get within 2 lengths of the winner crossing the line. She faced stakes company in her first two lifetime starts against two winners who repeated those performances next out. She gets a jock upgrade to Jose Lezcano today who should keep her in contact with the field and the 9 furlong distance will allow her to gobble up the ground through the lane. The 6/1 Morning Line would be a solid price on this filly.
