Weekend Recap

Well-

There were some good races - on paper this weekend. The reality was The Sham was a walk in the park for The Pamplemousse. Nobody has the ability to challenge him on the lead. The gallop out was the most impressive thing to me.

Mr Hot Stuff finished 3rd beaten 8 lengths. Well they knew this was a prep race and as they ran under the wire - Cory cracked him with the whip. In another 20 yards - The Mousse was down to a walk and Hot Stuff had a full head of steam and was galloping out very strong and blew past the Mousse. I haven't lost faith in Hot Stuff especially with how strong he finished. (Update 3/3) -Mr Harty said he is still a doofus. He was galloping out so strong, he needed the outrider to pull him up!

The Fountain of Youth looked on paper to be a corker. Who knew that fruit cake Mr Ramsey was gonna try to rate Notonthesamepage. The pace was much more reasonable than what everyone expected. So for Quality Road to keep going off the turn was no surprise. Yes - he's a very nice colt. Can he win the Derby with only 4 starts and only 1 around two turns? No - he can't. So him and Dunkirk are just gonna be money eaten rats come Derby Day. Thank goodness , it will beef up the price on the winner !!

I will update the Derby Dozen tomorrow, I'm learning my new website - hopefully it will be up and running this weekend !!

Peace & Love , Peace & Love
